FORGETTING AND PRESSING

Philippians 3 vs 13-14 tells us…Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before. I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Paul caught the vision, of how important it is to let go of the past and look on to the future. Sometimes letting go means you have relocated and still hanging on to what you had before. Or someone may have hurt you badly and you are still feeling hurt and finding it difficult to forgive. Whatever, the case maybe Let us keep Phillipians 3 close to us so the word of God and take root and thereby deliver us.

Today the Lord spoke to me through this same scripture. I was struggling with living in a new state. New everything. It became a little overwhelming and I found myself wanting and wishing on the past. The word of the Lord came about forgetting the past and I knew at that moment that I must focus on the future. What’s before me and not what is behind me.

The past should not be forgotten, instead we must learn from it and use it whether good or bad to become wiser as we move towards the future. As we approach 2020, its ok to look back as long as our past will help us to make better decisions. Remove the things that can hold you back and keep moving by faith.

I encourage you to seek God about your purpose in this new era. So that you can fullfil your purpose on the earth. I am happy to report that I have found mine!! praise Jesus. I know what I was born to do. I am no longer wondering what that it is and I can tell you that its a good feeling to know. I feel free, I get up each day with great expectations as I continue to work my gift. Let 2020 be the year of working your gift/talent.

Happy New Year…2020 is clear!
