Get Wisdom

Today’s word is wisdom. Solomon caught the vision of how important having wisdom is. So when Solomon asked God to give him an understanding heart in 1st Kings 3 vs 9, the following verse said his speech pleased God. God was pleased that he gave him more. He (God) added wisdom to the package. In vs. 12 God said these words to Solomon “Behold, I have done according to thy words: Lo, I have given thee a WISE and an understanding heart….”Why did God gave him wisdom? Proverbs 4 vs 7 answered that question, “Wisdom is the PRINCIPAL thing (the main thing) therefore get wisdom and with all thy getting get understanding.

Glory be to God! they both work together. You need understanding to apply wisdom. Solomon was young, just a child (1st Kings 3 vs7) he knew the tasks ahead of him was great and he also knew that he needed God to guide him, but what he did not know was the order in which to ask for this guidance so he asked for understanding first. When he should have really asked God for Wisdom and the understaning to apply wisdom.

God understood that and as always he will give you exceeding abundantly above all that we ASK or THINK, he gave Solomon more. He added the main thing, Wisdom and he added riches.

What a mighty God we serve!! Today ask God for wisdom and understanding so you will be able to make better decisions in every area of your life. Stay focus as well, and get ready to receive more, a package filled with the overflow. Until next time see you at Today’s word. Don’t forget to subscribe. God bless you.
