Are You Feeling Weak?

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee, for my strenght is made perfect in weakness…most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me” (2nd Corinthians 12 vs 9 – 10).

Like Paul, you maybe feeling weary of an issue that you are faced with. You have prayed and fasted to no avail and you are about to give up because the ring of life has taken its toil on you. There are bruises almost everywhere on your body, life is simple beating you up! It’s ok, you are not alone, all of us at some point have gotten to that point of exertion where we want to throw in the towel.

No matter how mature we are in Christ there will come a time when we feel as if we cannot make it. Something will happen and it will feel as if our world is shaken. Jesus experienced a great burden leading up to the cross and he cried out to his Father to remove the bitter cup from him (Luke 22). Paul too cried out to God to remove the torn that has been an issue in his life for so long. They have left us the right example to follow. We too must cry out to God for help when we are faced with problems and have become weak in our body and spirit.

What is your bitter cup today? What is your torn or your burden? God can help. He is waiting for you to cry out to him, so that he can strengthen you and take that burden away from you.

We cannot make it by ourselves. We need God when we are whole and we need him even more when we feel dismayed. He has enough strength for all of us. In Nehemiah 8, his joy is our strength, In Isaiah 41, he reassured us that he is our God and he will strengthen us and uphold us with his righteous right hand and Exodus 15 reminds us that the Lord is our strength and our song and has given us the victory. Do not give up. God is on your side.

Declare this with me: I curse every spirit of anxiety, weariness and depression from over my life in the name of Jesus. Today I declare that I am strong and victorious through Jesus Christ. Amen!

Until next time. God bless you.
