KINDNESS

In Luke chapter 10 Jesus told the story of man who was beaten and left to die but help came by the hands of a stranger, the Samaritan. One take away from that parable was we are all neighbors, and it does not matter who we are, our color or race, we should be kind and compassionate to all. Ephesians 4 vs 32 says “And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven us”.

I recently watched a movie called “Wish Man” its based on the life of Frank Shankwitz. This movie touched my heart. How one act of kindess made a world of difference in the lives of many others today. Jesus did even more. Because of his act of kindness and mercy on the cross, that thief was given a place in heaven and man’s redemption is complete. He died for every race, color and for every generation present and those to come.

The word of God tells us that we should do good when it is in the power of our hands to do it (Proverbs 3). We should always seek out ways to help others. If we show kindess to someone it will come back to us.

Please take the time out today to be kind. There are many ways that we can show kindness. By helping someone to carry their groceries to their car, by helping someone to cross a busy street, by babysitting for a mother who could use just a little help. If you are a part of a church in your community partner with them and see how you can become a volunteer. Help even when no one is watching except God. Be kind today.

Let us pray: Father in Heaven please forgive me for my sins of selfishness. Please help me to be kind to those in need as much as possible. So that you can be glorified in Jesus name. Amen. Until next time. God bless.
