The Fear Of The Lord

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the holy is understanding (Proverbs 9 vs 10). What does it mean to fear the Lord? I am glad you asked. To fear God means to respect, to reverence or to submit to his divine status. As I read Psalms 34 this morning, I could not help but to reflect on his unconditional love for me, his agape love for all of us which was demonstrated at calvary. Let his love for us ignite our love for him. Let us reverence him today by our speech and conduct. Let others come to know and respect him through our lifestyle, so that they too can see and taste that the Lord is good (Psalms 34 vs 8).

When we fear him, we are protected. His angels will come and encamp around us, they will build a permanent wall of protection around us and our children as well. When we fear him, we will lack nothing. We will never be desolate and he will always deliver us from afflictions. (Read Psalms 34)

Let us pray: Lord today I repent of my sins. I acknowlege you as my Lord and Savior. I submit to your deity and I respect you. I pray also for my family that their hearts will become submissive unto you in Jesus name. Amen. Until next time. God bless you.
