“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (1st Peter 2 vs 9)

We serve a sovereign God who does everything with excellence. He fearfully and wonderfully made us ( Psalms 139) and we are his workmanship (Ephesians 2). God did not create us to live below his standard. Our very persona should reflect Christ, because we were made in his likeness. Living your life any other way is like the story of the eagle who was living in a chicken coop. You will become restless, depressed and confused, why, because you were created to soar.

Today I encourage you to rise up from that place of confusion. Too long have you settled in oblivion. Too long has the enemy blinded your eyes from who you really are. You are more than where you are at this time in your life. Do not let your circumstances define you. Your identity is in Jesus Christ and him alone. When you know who you are and to whom you belong, nothing in this world can shake you.

Let us pray: Lord I repent of my sins today. Thanks for raising me up from the ashes and clothed me in resplendent garments. I will forever praise you in Jesus name. Amen.

Until next time God bless you.
