“I will bless the Lord at all times, his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalms 34 vs 1)
When was the last time you praise God? I don’t mean going before him with a long list of things to do for me, but just praises and adoration to him. The Bible says that God inhabits the praises of his people (Psalms 22 vs 3). In other words, God lives or dwells (inhabits) where your praises are!
I love Psalms 150, that entire chapter is a chapter of praises unto God and with instructions how we should praise him. Not only should we use our mouth to praise him, but we should use instruments, like the trumpet, psaltery, harp, timbrel and dance. Verse 5 and 6 says “praise him upon loud cymbals, praise him upon high-sounding cymbals, let everything that hath breath praise the Lord, Praise ye the Lord! Glory be to God!
That’s what David did when the Ark of the Covenant was returned, he could not help himself, he danced before the lord in praise and thanksgiving until his clothes fell off (2nd Samuel 6). Do not allow anyone to stop you from praising God, because if you don’t praise him the very rocks will cry out in your place (Luke 19). There is no special place to do it, you can take a praise break right now. Wherever you are in this world make time to praise God.
Let us pray: Lord I repent of my sins today. Thank you for your word. I praise and honor your holy name. You are great, and you are merciful. You are the true and living God and there is none like you. I glorify you and magnify your name because you are worthy to be praised in Jesus name. Amen. Until next time. God bless you.
