My Synopsis Of Revelation 1-9

“The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass, and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John.” Revelation 1 vs 1

I must admit that we do not spend enough time in the word of God much less to read the book of revelation. A lot of people shy away from this book, but it is a book that we should really read and take notes as with all the other books of the Bible. I just completed the book of 1st and 2nd Chronicles and it was life changing, and though I have read the Bible in its entirety before, it’s a daily refreshers course that we must read and meditate on every day.

Anyway, I am now reading the book of revelation and I am at chapter nine. I thought I would share what I have read so far. The seven stars represents the seven angels in heaven and the seven candlesticks are the seven churches. I read what God said to the churches in chapter two and three and I read that when they speak in heaven it sounds like thunder or a trumpet. I am fascinated by the sea made of glass like unto crystal and all the different kinds of beast with many eyes.  I also read about the locust with faces like men, teeth like those of lions and their tails like scorpions, and they will be given the power to torment mankind for five months. Revelation gives us an insight into heaven through the eyes of John (though it was frightful) but it was still magnificent, and I know it will be glorious when we get there.

Chapter 5 through to chapter 9 spoke about the seven seals of God and what will happen when they are opened. I personally would prefer to be in heaven when that time comes because it will be pure judgement on mankind and no prayer, fasting or vaccine will be able to stop it, because the word of God must come to pass.  The book of revelation is personal to Jesus it is the revelation that his father gave to him or showed to him and he was mandated to show it unto us. It was Jesus who spoke to John in chapter 1 verse 11 and it was Jesus who spoke throughout chapter 2 and chapter 3. The church is his bride and he is passionate about us. He has the key of David and when he comes he will reward us accordingly. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches (Revelation 3 vs 22).

Let us pray:  Lord please forgive me of my sins today. Thank you for your word. Thank you for revealing your self to us through your son Jesus Christ. Please help us to pay attention in Jesus name. Amen. Until next time. God bless you.
