“Every wise woman buildeth her house, but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.” Proverbs 14 vs 1.
Happy belated Mother’s Day to all my readers who are mothers. Yesterday most of us were pampered and some of us received gifts and well wishes. it is such a great feeling as a mom when your children return to show gratitude.
As mothers or parents, we must spend the time to build our home on a solid foundation which is in Christ Jesus. Not just any foundation but one that our children can emulate and thereby pass on to their own families. When you read Proverbs 31 from verse 11-30 you will see the perfect example of a woman who used her hands and her heart to build her home. She not only made her husband proud but her children as well. In return, the scripture says, her children arise up and call her blessed and her husband praiseth her (Proverbs 31 vs 28). When we build on the solid rock, it does not prevent the storms of life from blowing nor does it prevent debris from flying. But when your foundation is solid you will be able to withstand any storm (Matthew 7 vs 24-25)
Today, I celebrate all mothers and women of virtue. I encourage those of you who are still building your home, to keep on going, even when you are faced with adversities do not give in. If you keep on doing what is right, you will see the rewards one day. To those who have already built their homes, there is still more to be done with your grandchildren, it never stops until the work is done. Mothers I salute you!
You carried me in your womb
You bore the pain as you labored through
You fed and cared for me till I am grown
Oh mother, you deserve a crown
You stick around though I rebelled
And prayed for my soul so I don’t see hell
You comforted me through it all
And helped me up whenever I fall
Mere words are not even enough
To express to you my heartfelt love
But know that I will always be true to you
You can call on me I will be there
And that’s a promise no need to fear
Your golden years will be filled with joy
With me by your side no one can ever deny
That you are the perfect example of what a mother should be
And God designed you especially for me
Let us pray: Lord I repent of my sins today. Thank you for your word. I pray that you will bless and strengthen all mothers around the world, that they will continue to lead by example in Jesus name. Amen. Until next time. God bless you.
