Hold On!

“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness, thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress, have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.” Psalms 4:1.

How do you make sense out of your valley experience? What do you do when nothing makes sense?  If you are in a bad situation today, you have two choices. One, you can roll over, curse God, and die, or you can continue to trust God. Trusting God during times of trials and uncertainties is not always easy. In fact, it is never easy. But if you stick with Jesus, he will take you through whatever it is that you are going through.

Today I met a genuinely nice gentleman he said he is a Christian, but the other day he was upset with God. He went on to say that although he was upset, God still gave him a miracle, so he knows that God loves him. So I asked him what was the miracle and he told me, that he needed three hundred dollars quickly and God gave it to him the same day that he needed it, though he did not see any way out to get the money, God provided for him. He never told me why he was upset with God, but that is quite fine.

The bottom line is, we all get in that mode at times, when we need an answer and God is silent but as Psalms 37:40 says the Lord will help and deliver those who trust in him. Though you are feeling discouraged, you must continue to trust the one who has the master plan in his hands. He has your future secured and you are going to be ok.  Here are a few verses from Psalms 23: –

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures, he leadeth me beside the still waters

He restoreth my soul, he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me, thy rod, and thy staff they comfort me.

Please hold on do not give up. You are almost at the finish line. Cry if you must, scream and holler, but do not let fear dictate your next move. Cry out to Jesus, call someone who can pray with you or for you but whatever you do, hold on!

Let us pray:  Lord please forgive me of my sins today. Thank you for your word. Please help me to hold on and teach me how to continue to trust you, even when everything is falling apart, in Jesus name. Amen. Until next time. God bless you.
