God Is Everywhere

“Whither shall I go from thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” Psalms 139:7

When David wrote this Psalms I am not sure what he was faced with but based on the words penned, I am confident that he was going through something. He was burdened with care and he knew that he needed God.  He also knew that no matter where he was physically or mentally, God was there with him.

Let’s look at a few more verses starting from verse eight that reads thus, “if I ascend up into heaven, thou art there, if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou are there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, surely the darkness shall cover me, even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee, but the night shineth as the day. The darkness and the light are both alike to thee.” (Psalms 139:8-12).

So, maybe for whatever reasons you find yourself moving around a lot and by now you are concerned about your stability and you are worried about what others are saying. But know that even before you decided to move or even before your circumstances chose for you, God already made camp at the new location. You are not alone, he has big plans for you and sometimes it is straight forward and another time it comes with a lot of twist and turns. Nonetheless he knows where you are. You cannot hide from him and his presence does not leave you because you moved. Or maybe you have not moved physically, but mentally you have a lot going on in your thoughts. Believe me when I say that He is there too! he knows your down sitting and your uprising, and he understands your THOUGHTS afar off (Psalms 139:2). Yes, your very thoughts he knows because he searches the hearts of men (Psalms 139:23 & Jerimiah 17:10).

Where are you today? Did you just move to a new state or a new county or town? Are you feeling lost, confused, and afraid? Do not worry, God is closer than you think. He has already made provision for you and it will be manifested very soon. He has new vision and new plans for you, for with God you can expect the unexpected. Be confident today, step out in faith and wait on the goodness of the Lord. He will bless you right where you are. He has friends in the Ghetto, the suburbs, in the city, in the hot dessert or the north pole! He will give you new friends, great neighbors and he will give you a brand-new perspective of who he is.

Let us pray:  Lord please forgive me of my sins today. Thank you for your word. Father in heaven I am grateful for your love towards me, and I am confident that no matter where I find myself today, you are still there. Thank you for caring about my well-being in Jesus name. Amen. Until next time. God bless you.

  1. Exactly what I needed to read today. We have moved to a new state, its the 30 some move. I am thankful we are not moving overseas anymore, it’s much harder then moving to another state. Even though southern Ca. to northern Mn with their brutal winters is a huge change. God really has went before me in each move and each move I learned how to trust more, that He never forsakes me just cause the location of my soul changes. This is a great post. Blessings.
