Praise Him (Part 2)

“Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord from the heavens, praise him in the heights.” Psalms 148:1

Sometime ago I published an article with this same captioned “Praise Him”. This morning as I read Psalms 148 it not only got my praises going but I decided to post as a reminder for all of us to take the time to give God the praise that he deserves.

If you are not sure where to start, then begin by reading Psalms 148. This scripture will surely get you started.  As we look more into said scripture, (verses 2-14) we will see that no one or nothing is exempted from praising God. The angels and the host of heaven, the sun, moon and stars of light, the heavens of heavens, the waters above the heavens, those on the earth, the dragons (creatures) from the deeps. Fire, hail, snow, vapor, and even the stormy wind included! Can you imagine that even fierce winds are a part of praises unto God? That is why it is so important for us to give God thanks and praise in all things. This is proof right here in Psalms 148 that we should. God uses all things to fulfill his word.

So next time a storm comes along, let not fear creep into your heart, while you are doing everything to stay safe, lift up your hands and give God praise. The storm is doing its part to praise God and to fulfill his word (Psalms 148:8) so do your part by the lifting of your hands and the words from your lips and give him all the praise that is due unto to him. Hallelujah! Know that the presence of the storm is praises unto God. As we continue in the word, it says, the mountains, all the hills fruitful trees and all cedars. Beasts, all cattle, creeping things, flying fowl, kings of the earth, all people, and all judges of the earth. Both young men, maidens, old men, and children let them ALL praise the name of the Lord.

To sum it all up, there is no excuse for not giving God praise. We were born with that desire to do it. No situation should stop us from praising God because that same situation that seems so bad and challenging, is praising God in its own way. No wonder Psalms 150:6 says, let everything that hath breath praise the Lord! Again, today I am challenging you to STOP whatever you are doing, and give our King of Kings, and our Lord of Lords all the praises due unto him. If you cannot stop what you are doing, you can still utter praises unto him. If you are not able to talk where you are, then praise him in your heart, but whatever you do, make use of this moment to give him praise.

Praise him just for who he is, praise him for waking you up this morning, praise him for his goodness and mercy towards you and your love ones.  Praise him for keeping you safe in 2020! (glory be to God!). Praise him in all things and in all situation. Praise him while you are in the gym, driving in your car, at your desk on the job, in the supermarket, lying in your bed, cooking in your kitchen, wherever you are, praise God!

Let us pray:  Lord please forgive me of my sins today. Thank you for your word.  Lord as of today, please help me to give you continuous praise. Let me never miss a moment to praise your holy name. Please let my heart be always geared towards praising and worshiping you for the rest of my life in Jesus name. Amen. Until next time. God bless you.
