“My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.” Psalms 145:21
Truly it is a time for us to give thanks. Not just because it is traditionally “Thanksgiving Day” but because we should always give God thanks. As the scripture says, let all flesh bless his holy name forever.
Today has we celebrate let us channel our thoughts towards heaven and give God the Father thanks for sending his son Jesus Christ to die for us. That is more than enough reason to say thank you Lord. Also, though we cannot celebrate the usual way this year, we can still call to check on others to see how they are doing and to see how we can be a blessing to someone else.
Just last night I got an unexpected call from one of my church sisters. She made my night with that phone call because the last time we saw each other in a meeting, out conversation ended with a question sign. But God changed that with one phone call, and I am so thankful. I told her that she made my night. So today, I am thankful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for life, health, and strength, for my children and my biological sisters and for my extended family and friends. I am even more thankful for the future because I know who holds it and it is well.
What are you thankful for today? Take the time to say thank you to someone today and most importantly, say thank you to God. From my family to yours happy Thanksgiving!
Let us pray: Lord please forgive me of my sins. Thank you for your word. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your goodness throughout the years. You have kept me, and my family and you continue to do wonders. Lord thank you for making my story completely different. To you be all he glory in Jesus name. Amen. Until next time. God bless you.
