“And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God. Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.” Psalms 40:3
Ready or not February is here and before we can catch on to it properly it will be gone. The days are moving fast likewise the months and years. February in itself is a short month so we can expect things to move even faster.
During this month ask the Lord to give you a new song according to Psalms 40:3. Take time to praise him and give him thanks in all things. Try to see the good in everything so that others will catch on to positiveness and start seeing God through your actions. Ask him to help you to literally take one day at a time in every area of your life. Once you can take back control of this whirlwind called life, you will be surprised to see all that you have missed and all the things that are still left to be done. These days even more than ever, life is precious, and every moment should matter to all of us. God is always doing something new in our lives do not miss it by becoming too anxious.
Also try to slow things down in your mind. Do not do too much all at once. A good way to slow down is to make a list of things to do for this month and write down everything in order of priority and place the list on your refrigerator or on your bathroom mirror (or just an area in your home where you will be sure to see it). Leave room for mistakes and do overs and try to achieve at least two things from your list this month if possible. That way you will not feel clustered or overwhelmed and you will be able to check off as you go and carry over the unfinished stuff to March. I am not telling you procrastinate, but instead, stay in control of the rush by giving yourself space to breath.
I know that it can be difficult at times to keep up with all that is going on in this world, but I believe we can do anything that we set out to do in good faith, by the grace of God. Why not start today? Go ahead, make that list and you may just be surprised.
Let us pray: Lord, please forgive me of my sins today. Thank you for your word. Help me Lord to make good use of this new month. Let it be filled with quality time spent with you and maximizing on my list of things to do. Let it all be done to your glory and honor in Jesus name. Until next time. God bless you.
