“O Lord, I know that the way of man is not in himself, it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.” Jeremiah 10:23
Have you ever felt lost as if you don’t know what you are doing? That is how I felt yesterday. I left my house to do a couple of things and ended up doing just one even though I tried to get everything done. For some reason I just could not get it together.
But we serve a God who understands, and he knows exactly how I felt and he knows how you are feeling too. Nothing is hidden from him including the fragility of humanity. He knows that there will be days like this, and I am so happy for that. Jeremiah 10:23 states that the way of man is not in himself and it is not in man to direct our own steps. Glory be to God! our steps are already ordered by the Lord (Psalms 119:133) so try not to be too hard on yourself if suddenly your plans or your day got derailed. Let it go, relax, and simply go back home, because you planned it doesn’t mean that its in God’s plan for you.
How are you feeling today? Were you able to fulfill everything on your list? Do not let it cause you to be anxious, God willing you will get it done another time. There is always plan B if we take the time to look. Rest in the love of God. He loves us so much and wants the best for us. The scripture tells us that God has already charged his angels to watch over us to keep us in all our ways to bear us up in their hands lest we dash our feet against a stone (Read Psalms 91). We are protected in every way. When we are faced with disappointments, unfinished business, and setbacks. The Holy Spirit and the angels are at work protecting us and keeping us.
Take it easy. Enjoy the journey called life and continue to give God all the glory and praise.
Let us pray. Lord, please forgive me of my sins today. Thank you for your word. Thank you for ordering my steps and ordering the steps of my love ones and my friends. You have protected us from harm and danger seen and unseen, of which we are grateful. Today I placed all my unfinished assignments in your capable hands as I give you thanks in Jesus name. Amen. Until next time. God bless you.
