“And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks, and in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden gridle.” Revelation 1:12-13
Did you know that not everyone can handle the supernatural things of God? I realized this after watching the movie “Heaven is for real” this is my second time watching this movie and it gets me every time.
Many people are going to church, singing the hymns, praying, and fasting but are not in expectation of the supernatural things of God. They are just going through “church routine” as we call it at times, but not in no wise looking for God to move. That is what happened to this Pastor and his congregation in the movie “Heaven is for real” and for the life of me, I just could not understand why they all found it so hard to believe what the little boy saw and even that he went to heaven!! What then is the reason for going to church? Or what is the basis on which they have faith in God? When Jesus was on the earth, his ministry was mainly healing and salvation. And when he showed up, the very dead came alive because he was and still is the resurrection and the life.
My dear friends if we are calling on the name of Jesus anything can happen. He can show up in any way and do anything. He has been revealing himself to us throughout the years, and it doesn’t matter your age, because his presence will be made known to all generations. Sometimes God allows things to happen like near death experiences, so that he can speak to us and show us a glimpse of heaven. Remember, that God is a spirit (John 4:24) and he does not operate in the natural realm. So, the next time you go to church, or you are home praying and singing to the Lord, do not be surprise if he shows up in a big way. Once you serve the risen Savior you must expect him to manifest himself unto you, and the only way he can do that, is in the supernatural realm. So, please do not be afraid of it, accept it, and rejoice in it. Imagine how John must have felt on the Isle of Patmos when he experienced God in such a mighty way (read the book of Revelation), his experience was all supernatural, and it was so intense that John fainted (Rev. 1:17). Get ready for the supernatural movement of God.
Let us pray: Lord, please forgive me of my sins today. Thank you for your word. Lord, please help me to realize that in order to see miracles, signs, and wonders, I must expect the supernatural to take place. Help me Lord to get up everyday expecting a miracle in Jesus’ name. Amen. Until next time. God bless you.
