Think It Not Strange

“Trust ye not in a friend, put ye not confidence in a guide. Keep the doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom. For the son dishonoureth the father, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother-in-law, a man’s enemies are the men of his own house.” Micah 7:5-6

We are in the last days, so we should be prepared for the unexpected at all times. Though that may sound easier said than done, it is truly a fact.  Nothing should surprise us these days but although you are prepared for anything, it is never easy to accept certain things that can happen to us or around us.

For example, relationship between parents and their children can be beautiful, but it can also be a nightmare.  As we speak there are many parents who are suffering from disappointments and heartbreaks because of how they are treated by their own children. Some children have turned their backs on their parents and have forgotten the sacrifices that were made for them.  That is not something anyone of us as parents would want to experience, but sadly some are experiencing that pain even at this very moment.

On the other hand, some people are hurting because of what their friends have done, or they are hurting because of the actions of a close family member. But whatever the case may be, please do not believe that you are alone. It is a world-wide, end of days, Bible fulfilling activity that we cannot control. The most we can do if we ever find ourselves in that predicament, is to turn to the word of God for comfort and continue to pray for those who have caused us pain according to Matthew 5:44. Yes, that is truly our only recourse.

Today be encouraged in the Lord, do not give up, though your heart is broken, and you see no way of restoration for that broken relationship, the solution is always in Christ Jesus, and it begins in his word.

Let us pray.  Lord, please forgive me of my sins today. Thank you for your word. Please help me to turn to you for comfort during difficult times. Mend my broken heart and cause restoration to bloom in my relationships in Jesus’ name, amen. Until next time. God bless you.
