Why So Angry?

“I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart, I will shew forth all thy marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in thee. I will sing praise to thy name O thou Most High. “Psalm 9:1-2

Rage and anger are nothing new in this world, but the difference now is, we are making a comeback from a devastating era, and you would want to think that people would have been more thankful and filled with gratitude to God.  But unfortunately, they have seemingly become angrier than ever.

Psalm 9:1 talked about showing forth God’s marvelous works. We all need to pause and think about that truth. If you are alive today, that is God’s marvelous works being manifested in the flesh! Hello!! Now is the time to be thankful, now is the time to praise God even more, now is the time to be bold when calling on the name of the Lord. Now is not the time to be fighting each other, we are still here, and we are alive and well. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Listen, it could have been another way for us, but God kept us, and he did not spare us to fight against each other but he spared our lives so we can do better. This is our chance to do better, so make good use of it. I am fully aware that not everyone will be at peace no matter what but based on what I am seeing and hearing right now, we can do much better than this.

Calm down people, take better care of each other and send up praises unto God for giving us another chance.  Couple days ago, I went to a sweet sixteen birthday party for one of my cousins. We had a great time, that was my first time attending any function over a year now. I was asked to pray, and it was such a privilege. After a while as I sat there playing ludo with friends and family something hit me, what hit me was gratitude to God almighty. It felt good just sitting there being able to fellowship with others safely. That was one of his marvelous works at work, he has given us life, health, and strength to celebrate something so important called life.

Today I encourage you to slow down, think before you act, choose to do the right thing all time and ask God to remove that angry spirit out of your life in the name of Jesus.

Let us pray: Lord, please forgive me of my sins today. Thank you for your word. Lord, please remove any spirit of anger in me. Please help me to accept your peace and let it be seen by others so that you will be glorified in Jesus’ name. Amen. Until next time God bless you.
