“Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord, for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.” Psalms 25:15

Psalms 25 has so many strong points in it, like any other books of the word of God it is powerful and sharp. This morning my devotion was all about Psalms 25 which has now become my topic for today. I love what David said in the first couple verses of Psalms 25, he said “unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee, let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies’ triumph over me.” Here he acknowledged that his hope and his trust is in Christ alone, because in him there is victory over all situations. He never let his challenges dissuaded him from trusting in God.

Some days I feel like David, from one battle to the next, no letting up from the enemy, even feeling trapped and tired at times. But like David, I must continue to be persistent in the spirit because that is where battles are won. Maybe, that is how you are feeling today. Trapped in a cycle that just keep on spinning and there are days when it seems even harder than before with no end in sight. But there is hope, it is there in the word of God, in Psalms 25:15. Yes, we serve a God who will pluck our feet out of the net that the enemy has set for us and will cause our enemies to fall into that same net that was intended for us.

Today, I want to tell you that it is ok to feel trapped, and it is ok to feel tired, but it is not ok to accept it or to be silent about it. Become a David on the battlefield and turn your eyes towards the Lord and ask him to pluck your feet out of that net (Ps. 25:15). Whatever your net is, get up and get out in the name of Jesus. You can fall into it, but you must never stay in it.  Arise and be free in Jesus’ name.

Let us pray. Lord, please forgive me of my sins today. Thank you for your word. Please help me never to accept defeat. Help me never to accept the net that I am in. Please give me the right mindset to turn my eyes towards you so that I can be free in the name of Jesus. Amen. Until next time. God bless you.
